buymearolloffilm.com: here’s where you come in.

Film photography costs - from purchasing, to development and scanning, to printing - can make it difficult to continue to do so, so in the event that you would like to be a patron of the arts and support me, you can now donate securely down below. For just a bit, you not only help me out, but also those who can’t support, as I promise to deliver the same images for all to view and enjoy. However you may enjoy my photography, please consider helping me with creating more.

All will go towards the purchase, development, scanning, printing and furthering of my analog film work. Images will always be made available publicly via the blog, as well as with some notes with them to let you know how it is all going. A bonus for those who donate, I will provide you with the hi-res digital copies of the roll you specifically helped to buy. Click here to see ongoing results and please support me to create.

Cheers,

Rick

No one roll of film can be bought and developed for 1 euro*, but given enough at this level, team work makes the dream work!

No one roll of film can be purchased and developed* for 5 euros, with good quality at least, but given enough at this level, we’ve taken a big stepping to getting there!

Almost enough for one roll of film + development*, we are so close!

* You can find cheap, expired rolls of film, but it’s usually a mystery as to what you have and so, what you are going to get as results. You can also develop with coffee or wine or other things, but also, not the best idea to spend your generosity. But if you want a roll you found in the attic from the 1980s, developed in some old Beaujolais or coffee, sure, why not? We can do that too.

where does the donation go? what can be purchased with your help.

** These are just some of the different types of rolls of film that I use in my normal practice, but I welcome suggestions.

Other costs? As I own all of the equipment needed (camera/lenses, developing and scanning tools), the donations are used for the purchase of consumables: mostly, films rolls to shoot and film chemicals to develop, unless repair or purchase is absolutely needed for non-consumables.

Project goals? For the future projects, I hope to expand in some of the following areas:

  • Film stocks and formats

  • Advanced development techniques

  • Scanning systems

Regardless of how well this project is doing, I hope to be able to shoot and present to you more analog film work in the future. Please consider helping to make this happen more often.

More on this in the future, but for now, you have my many thanks.

Rick
